Why You Should Pre-register

Doors will NOT OPEN for walk in until all pre-registers are complete.
All pre entries will be placed in the stands by section. Each section will then be called one at a time. New!
All pre-entries' weigh in cards will be printed & alphabetized.

You may JUST SHOW UP on Friday, March 12. Doors will NOT OPEN for walk-ups until all pre-registers are done! Entry fee on site is $40.00 (forty dollars)
Event Director: CAUSAW 559-275-9478 Rules: USA Wrestling rules governing age groups, weights, and match times will be used along with the National Federation Association scoring rules.

Boys Frosh/Soph: 103, 112, 119, 125, 130, 135, 140, 145, 152, 160, 171, 189, 215, HWT Girls High School: 95, 102 , 109, 116, 123, 130, 138, 146, 155, 165, 185, 185+ lbs (25 lbs maximum difference)

Folkstyle State-Match Times

Championship round: 2-2-2
All Consolation Matches 1-1½-1½
All Medal matches same as championship rounds

Wrestling Times/Locations

Frosh/Soph Schoolboys; Girls High School, Grappling Wrestling starts both days in Selland Arena 8:00 a.m.

Eligibility

General Eligibility Must have current Athlete USA Wrestling Card Eligibility for Boys Frosh/Soph Folkstyle Open to Freshmen and Sophomores enrolled and attending grades 9-10 High School only. Eligibility for Girls High School Folkstyle Open to all High School girls enrolled and attending Grades 9-12 High School only.

Proof of Age

Boys Frosh/Soph, Girls Folkstyle Must show proof of grade. School Doc, School ID only.

Singlets

You will NOT need a red or blue singlet for this State Event.

State Event Information

“Must Have & Must Know” to Register for a State Event!

You may not enter the registration area without these items:

Athletes: Must Have

Entry Fee: $30.00 plus fees (online only); $40.00 on site
Birth Certificate or proof of age or grade! YOU CANNOT REGISTER WITHOUT IT!
Singlet: The contestants will be weighed with their singlet on without shoes after having been examined by qualified Medical trainers who are obliged to eliminate any wrestler who presents any danger of contagious disease. No weight tolerance for the singlet. Athletes shall have two attempts to make weight, the initial attempt when called to the scale and an immediate challenge of another scale located in close proximity to the initial weigh-in scale(s). Athletes may not leave the weigh-in area or initiate any activity for means of weight reduction. A wrestler who fails to make weight will be allowed to move up to the next weight class.

Athletes: Must Know

Eligibility: All athletes who meet the age requirements and who are a current members in good standing of CA-USA Wrestling/USA Wrestling.
Headgear: Kids & Cadets are required to wear headgear at all State Events.
Must be a California resident, unless otherwise stated!

Coaches: Must Have

Coaches Band In order to coach in the corner at all State Championships, you will need a Coaches Band and minimum of a Copper Certification. The Band must be worn at all times when on the floor. Bands will not be sold! Bands may be picked up: Friday from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm and Saturday morning 7:00 am-8:00 am You must show three pieces of ID.

Current USA coaches card.
Copper or Bronze certification card minimum.
A Picture ID

Bronze Clinic 6:00–9:00 p.m. Friday night at each State Tournament. Cost is $60.00

Clubs: Must Know

Club Championships Clubs that intend to compete for the Club Championships must mail in their roster postmarked 7 days prior to the specific State Championship. Send to:
